Underpass #6 - Best of Sangam
For the best part of 7/8 years an enigmatic producer known only as Sangam has amassed over 50 releases, growing to be one of the most prolific and influential ambient producers working today.
His inimitable style, overlapping synth loops that grow, entangle and fade over field recordings, create a trademark emotional resonance that has garnered him respect and admiration from artists and fans internationally.
Despite his signature style, Sangam has also proven to be one of the most adaptive collaborators on the scene, pairing with a wide array of producers as Thugwidow, HKE, Kagami Smile, Diamondstein, Bruised Skies, Al-90 and Lilith Twin but is always able to place his imprint.
Sangam’s prolific nature also extends to his efforts to support and expand the scene, promoting new labels and helping artists breakthrough.
In celebration of his release of ‘Vitality’ for Pure Life, this mix celebrates my personal favourite Sangam tracks and collaborations, from the classics to the lesser known to the as yet unreleased.
